If you feel like wrestling season just ended, that’s because it did. Due to Covid, everything was topsy turvy last year, resulting in the wrestling season taking place in the spring. Now, it’s back to it’s winter timeline and the mats are out once more.

There’s already been two wrestling meets this season and the results are in.

Tuesday saw a full on meet at West Valley. West Valley defeated Eielson 48-46, North Pole defeated Eielson 63-24, and Eielson defeated Hutchison 54-48.

As for Wednesday, the match came between Lathrop and North Pole. The Lathrop Malemutes, whose girls team won state last year and boys finished second, defeated the North Pole Patriots 102-36. The North Pole girls finished runner ups to Lathrop last season.
