UAF Athletic Director Brock Anundson has a new assistant as Ryan Lahr has been hired as Assistant AD for Operations, Facilities, and Ticketing.
“We are thrilled to have Ryan join the Nanook athletics administration team,” said Anundson. “He has been a strong ambassador for his previous NCAA Division I and II programs, along with the value he’s added to their operations and facilities. Ryan will be a welcomed addition to our team and we could not be more excited to bring his excitement to the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.”
Lahr comes to Fairbanks after earning his Masters in Business Administration from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D. He was a Graduate Assistant through Athletic Operations and Event and Recreation Sports during his time there. Lahr helped oversee game day operations and event management operations for over 150 events annually.
Prior to that, Lahr spent time at Minnesota State University, Mankato as an Athletic Operation Intern. He also assisted in the preparation and execution of NCAA Division II and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference postseason events including men’s football, women’s soccer playoffs, NSIC indoor track and field championships and NSIC men’s basketball playoffs.
Lahr’s first day with UAF was Monday, Oct. 4.
