There were three volleyball games going on simultaneously on Tuesday and all three were local-on-local competition. Let’s take a look at what happened.

North Pole 3 Eielson 0

It was yet another resounding victory for the Patriots at home on Tuesday evening. The Pats have been one of the top teams in the interior this year and nothing was different about that on Tuesday. Emma Enlow (11 kills, two digs, six aces) and Lindsey Elgin (31 assists, two digs, four kills, five aces) were North Pole’s top performers while Trinity Eliasen (10 assists, 18 digs), Hope Eliasen (19 digs) and Rachel Holmely (five kills, seven digs) led the way for Eielson.

North Pole’s next game will be Thursday at home against Hutchison while Eielson will host Galena on Friday.

Lathrop 3 Hutch 0

The Malemutes remained hot with their third consecutive victory while the Hawks are still seeking their first win of the season. Lathrop won 25-14, 25-15, and 25-18. Grace Halbrooks led Hutch with four kills and four aces while Lathrop didn’t report stats before press time.

Hutch will visit North Pole on Thursday while Lathrop will host Delta on Friday.

Monroe 3 West Valley 2

It was a wild back-and-forth affair between the Wolfpack and the Rams on Tuesday will Monroe coming out on top 21-25, 25-19, 13-25, 25-17, 15-6. It was an outstanding game for Brityn Ward of the Rams as she compiled five aces, 20 assists and 11 digs. Casey Elterman (19 digs) and Delaney Ott (nine kills, 14 digs) also had excellent nights.

West Valley’s stats were unavailable before press time. The Wolfpack will next play at North Pole on Tuesday while Monroe will compete in the Grace Christian Tournament this weekend.
