There was a lot going on this past weekend, including a load of volleyball. We’ve got plenty of action to recap so let’s get to it.

Eielson hosted Galena for games on Friday and Saturday and pulled off sweeps in both contests. In the two contests, Trinity Eliasen had 19 aces and 30 assists, Naomi Tidwell served 16 aces and Rachel Holmly had nine kills and 10 aces.

Monroe and Grace Christian canceled their Thursday night game due to weather, but the Rams participated in the Silver Bracket of the Grace Christian Tournament and were crowned Silver Bracket Champions.

Starting the bracket out with a bye in the best two out of three tournament, the Rams downed Houston 20-9 and 20-6 to start. Monroe then beat Nikiski 20-15 and 20-17 before facing Nikiski again. They lost that time 25-21 and 25-21 before the two squads met for one last winner-take-all match. The Rams came out on top 30-18 to win the bracket.

Finally, the Lathrop Malemutes swept Delta in three sets on Friday. No stats were available for that game or the Monroe tournament games.
