To the editor: I read in the paper Wednesday about Roberto Williams being charged and jailed (briefly) for trespass.
Roberto came to the soup kitchen for a hot meal and coffee every day. The criminal complaint is a mute point now that he has been evicted from sleeping in a hallway as he froze to death on the 21st of November. The Golden Heart City has a homeless problem and maybe a heartless problem. We need shelters before new recreation facilities.
