Presidential insults

To the editor: On Nov., 3, 2021, the FDNM published a letter to the editor that included the phrase, “Let’s go, Brandon.” I find it difficult to understand why the FDNM doesn’t seem to be aware of the connotation of that phrase. It is a despicable and deplorable profanity in code to insult the president of the United States of America. I would like to believe that the News-Miner is ignorant of the meaning, of the obscene insult to the president of the U.S. instead of understanding and endorsing the phrase. The Oct. 31, 2021, Anchorage Daily News explains the meaning behind the phrase and one can also Google it. Here’s hoping that the NewsMiner does better in the future.
