Naming names

To the editor: I’ve noticed that groups who march and represent the Nationalists of America are, let’s say, predominantly of Anglo-Saxon descent. The news media and social media persistently label these assemblies “white supremacists,” therewith invoking an emotional response with their audience. Have you seen pictures of marches for Black Lives Matter (BLM)? Have you noticed that the great majority is White? Isn’t that ironic?

Let the media outlets begin calling BLM members “student Marxists,” creating another kind of emotional response. Both names are equally stereotypical and reductive, yet each bordering on the truth.

Ah, balance and harmony.
