A Fairbanks man has been charged with several crimes for allegedly stealing a truck. His method of doing so, according to Alaska State Troopers?
Troopers state that Raymond Sharp, 51, "towed away a truck with his backhoe without permission." Troopers had received a report just before noon Wednesday that a person was "dragging away vehicles with a backhoe" in the area of Farmers Loop Road.
Sharp attempted to hide the truck in his yard by covering it with other items, according to troopers.
Sharp was arrested on charges of vehicle theft, evidence tampering, criminal trespass and violating conditions of release in connection with a July misdemeanor case. He was taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center and was being held without bail pending arraignment.
