FAIRBANKS — The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development is seeking educators from around the state to help review items that will appear in the future on the new Alaska Measures of Progress.

The Alaska Measures of Progress assessments, which replaced the state’s Standards Based Assessments in the 2014-15 school year, are a set of online assessments meant to measure achievement of students in third through 10th grade.

Educators in the program would review English language arts and mathematics test items. The feedback is meant to ensure the tests, created by the University of Kansas’ Achievement and Assessment Institute, are appropriate, nonbiased and representative of the state standards.
