FAIRBANKS — Three people have died in the crash near Cantwell of a twin-engine Beech Baron aircraft that left Fairbanks early Friday, according to Alaska State Troopers.

The crash was discovered at 11:55 a.m. Friday near 195.5 Parks Highway by an Alaska Division of Forestry employee investigating a fire that had been caused by the crash. The remains of all three of the plane’s occupants were found at the site, according to a trooper news release. The names of the deceased will be made public following notification of next of kin.
