There’s still time to decorate a holiday tree for the traditional display at Noel Wien Library, co-sponsored by the library and Fairbanks Garden Club.

Bring your tree to the library by today. It will join a display throughout December and can then be picked up anytime Jan. 6-10.

Trees should be artificial and unlit. Each tree should be between 4 and 7 feet tall. Place a sign at the base of the tree to identify the group.

The hope is that participants will choose a particular theme for the group’s ornaments on the tree. For example, the Fairbanks Garden Club tree will be decorated with gardening ornaments. Do not include any valuable or keepsake ornaments with the display.

This tradition is ongoing for the past 20 years.

There’s a sign-up sheet at the library’s reference desk. Or call the reference desk, 459-1047. Fairbanks Garden Club coordinates this event, more information from Susan Crevensten at
