The University of Alaska Museum of the North is exploring Animals in Art during family programs in November.
Virtual Early Explorers is for ages five and younger to complete with an adult. From Nov. 6-12, families can participate in a museum hunt-and-find, enter to win a prize, and explore hands-on activities shared online at bit.ly/uamnhandson.
Children six and up can register for Virtual Junior Curators on Nov. 13. Participants will receive an activity supplies packet and meet with museum educators via Zoom from 11 a.m. — noon. Register now at bit.ly/uamnhandson. At-home activities will also be available online.
Animals in Art, where kids can explore animal themed art and receive supplies for take-home activities, will occur from noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 20 at the museum.
Masks are required on campus. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE.
