FAIRBANKS - Two men at an Ester halfway house escaped late Tuesday night after sneaking out of the facility and driving away in a stolen car, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers say Damtrey J. Rice, 20, of North Pole, and Daniel L. Crow, 33, of Fairbanks, climbed out of a window at about 11:40 p.m. at the North Star Center. Both men are believed to be involved in the theft of a gray 1997 Mercury Sable, which was stolen from the nearby Blue Loon parking lot soon after the escape.
Anyone with information about the suspects or the missing vehicle, which has Alaska plate DNG123, is asked to call troopers at 451-5100.
