The Fairbanks Drama Association is hosting several auditions for local actors for upcoming productions.
Auditions for the comedy “Almost, Maine,” written by John Cariani and directed by Paul Adasiak, are at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and 3 and 1 p.m. Dec. 5. Roles are available for two to nine adult women and two to nine adult men.
Auditions for “The Buddy Holly Story,” by Alan Janes and directed by Peggy Ferguson, are 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9 and 1 p.m. Dec. 12. Roles are available for 20 adult males, 10 of which are singing and 10 non-singing, and nine adult females, six of which are singing and three non-singing. One of the male and female singing roles is for African-American actors. Actors need to audition with a prepared song to sing or an instrument to play. Actors also are needed who play guitar and drums.
