ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Anchorage police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old woman whose body was found in a parked van.

The death was discovered Sunday evening. Police say the person who reported the death said the vehicle owner let the woman sleep in the van.

The woman's name will not be released until her family is notified.

Police say there were no immediate signs of foul play.

The body is being sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
