Linda McFarlane and Alvin Deighton were married on Oct. 6, 2012, at the North Pole Missionary Chapel. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Keith Payne.
Linda is the daughter of Leslie and Debra McFarlane, of North Pole. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2012. She is employed by Tanana Valley Clinic in Fairbanks.
Alvin is the son of Daniel and Susan Deighton, of Bow, Wash. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2011.
He is employed by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.
Brenda McFarlane, the bride’s sister, served as maid of honor.
Malcolm Deighton, the groom’s brother, served as best man.
A reception following the ceremony was held for Linda and Alvin at the Radiant Church in Fairbanks.
