Blog: Raeder of the Lost Blog
Running back/linebacker Justin Ferringer remains on injured reserve, and lineman Jay Fulk and wideout/defensive back Jeff Myrielkes also won’t see the field tonight for the Grizzlies.
It was plenty chilly, but there were about 10 tailgates in the north parking lot about two hours before game time. A man with a video camera was walking around, and the tailgaters let out whoops and hollers when he aimed the lens at them. A few young boys, maybe 5-8 years old, were chucking around a football. Some teenagers with Lathrop High School clothing were huddled around a grill and a nearby pickup blasting music. One was brave enough to don a short-sleeved t-shirt.
Not many people were in Grizzlies clothes or wearing the team colors, but it’s only the team’s second-ever home game, so it probably will be a while before the Carlson Center is filled with blue- and orange-clad fans.
It’s about 10 minutes to kickoff and the Carlson centers is roughly a third full.
