Eielson Halftime (I'm back)

Published Friday, March 21, 2008

At halftime in the boy's 3A semifinal, Haines leads Eielson 30-28.

After a quite first quarter, Haines' Kyle Fossman scored 12 points in the second to held the Glacier Bears come back from a five-point hole.

The Ravens battled foul trouble the whole first half, with Charles King going the bench early in the second quarter with three fouls and Kyle McConnell hitting the pine after picking up his third foul late in the half.

Fossman, just from the Lost Blogs' point of view has a tendency to flop, and has gotten a call or two out of that.

The Ravens had nine team fouls to Haines three.

But Jarrett Miller has been strong from behind the arc and in the mid-range game to keep Eielson right in it.

Davante Sparrow has been the unsung hero of the first half, giving them good minutes off the bench, playing strong defense.

All things considered, Eielson can't be too upset about going into halftime down just two. If they can control Fossman like they did in the first, making it hard for him to even touch the ball, they should be fine.

Sorry about the lack of posts, but with no outlets near the 3A court at the Sully, my battery has been nearly dead most of the afternoon.
