So here we are on Super Monday, the day before the much-anticipated Super Tuesday. Unlike years past, however, Alaska gets to be in on the fun; we’ve even been hearing real radio ads from real presidential campaigns.
You can thank (seriously) the leaders of the Republican and Democratic parties in Alaska for this.
This is all good news for political junkies, and there are tons of them in blog-o-land. And we’ll be doing our best to give Alaska’s poli-addicits their fix right here.
Starting today, Daily News-Miner reporters will be tossing out news and nuggets of the Alaska campaign year — for the presidential vote and for state and other federal offices that Alaskans will be deciding.
For Super Tuesday, which is tomorrow, we’ve got reporter Chris Freiberg monitoring the Republican presidential campaigns from Fairbanks and reporter Amanda Bohman doing the same on the Democratic side. Reporter Stefan Milkowski at the News-Miner’s Juneau bureau will monitor the Super Tuesday action from the capital and keep tabs of the statewide action.
