Rep. Mary Nelson of Bethel gave birth to a baby girl this afternoon. Nora Shine Nelson was 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and 21 inches long.
And while Gov. Palin has not looked pregnant, Nelson clearly has. She kept working up till yesterday, when she was one of the two legislators to escort Sen. Lisa Murkowski in for her annual address.
Nora Shine is Nelson's fourth child and first daughter. She is married to Joe Nelson.
UPDATE: We got the news last night that something was missing from the baby's name. It's actually Nora Shine (Ikamtuk) Nelson. -Stefan
