When it comes to gold jewelry...

Published Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Every once in a while, there’s a bill that catches your eye.

HB 382, sponsored by Rep. Mike Chenault, certainly caught my eye. The bill is just two sentences long and would simply ban the sale of gold jewelry in Alaska unless the gold was mined in Alaska.

The bill is up for its first hearing in the House Labor and Commerce Committee this afternoon. Think it’s a good idea? Think it would work for milk?
