To the editor:

As this election season nears an end, I see endless advertisements; I hear nonstop radio ads and the televisions are constantly lit up with political commercials, “He didn’t do this ... he won’t do that ... I can do it better.” In all of this back-and-forth messaging, I must remind myself of why I actually listen to it all.

Simply, I am an Alaskan and I care what the future holds for me. I can assure you, my decision will be made, informed by, and with due caution for those who will stand up for all Alaskans. My trust then must be with those who have been willing to work in the bipartisan Senate working group. Why, you may ask? Because anyone who refuses to work with another because of their political party should not be trusted. The bipartisan Senate majority has been effective in advancing an Alaska agenda, showing their motives are to put Alaskans first.

My best wishes to Joe Thomas and Click Bishop, and most importantly, my vote to Joe Paskvan, and moral support to the dynamic leaders running for state House, who include David Guttenberg, Scott Kawasaki, Bob Miller and Janice Golub.

On Tuesday, remember to vote for those who will support Alaskans first and work across party lines to get things done without regard to partisan politics.
