FAIRBANKS - Ben Parker, 7, is already showing great work ethic in his classroom at Anderson Elementary School.

According to his second-grade teacher Amber Ables, Parker is a great reader and produces neat and organized work, all while having a good attitude.

Ables said she enjoys having him as a student because he completes his work and has a desire to be the best student he can.

“Ben has such a positive attitude and outlook on life,” Ables said. “He wants to succeed and won’t let the influence of others stand in his way.”

Parker enjoys books, especially spooky ones like the “Goosebumps” series.

“Reading time is my favorite,” he said. “Lots of practice has made me a better reader.”

Parker likes baseball, science, art and playing with friends. On top of everything else, Ables said Parker is well-mannered and helpful and picks up new skills easily.

“I want to be in the Army when I grow up,” he said. “I want to be a sniper because they hide and shoot. They also stay safe. It looks fun!”
