KODIAK, Alaska - Vandalism at a Kodiak business that caters to children has left its future in doubt.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror (http://bit.ly/RBAoCM) reports someone took a knife to inflatable equipment at Kodiak Bay Bounce, an indoor playground.

Owner Scott Wilburn, a Coast Guardsman, went to his business Tuesday and found long gashes in the inflatable bounce houses that account for about 85 percent of the equipment.

They're made of tough plastic but Wilburn says the vandal sliced through multiple layers of plastic or seams.

He says repairs would have to be made by the manufacturer and that would cost more than new equipment.

Wilburn says he's insured but he's not sure if the business can recover.
