If you are a white knuckle driver with a line of cars behind you, then you are part of the problem!

Fairbanksgas- how does this remind you of the two hunters that were illegally driving across the tundra? The two situations share very little in similarities. Are you trying to make another point about our military?

"Angie Doroff, 46, helped organize the rally. The wildlife biologist, yoga teacher and artist said she was pleased and surprised at how many people showed up."
I stopped reading after the above quote....

If it's not on your property, then stop complaining. What view is being blocked? Where do you live? It's not like you have a view anyways! I would invite a tower on or near my property.

I have not found a restaraunt in Fairbanks that I would consider to be clean. This includes both national chains and locally owned. The tables, floors, windows and kitchens are all filthy. I have often commented that if I owned a restaraunt, I would have someone cleaning constantly. I have seen workers standing around when they could be cleaning. I wouldn't eat at my own home in that filth, why would I pay to eat in someone else's filth?

Did the girls ask to be rescued? How can we charge them for something that they did not even ask for? They may have gotten out without the search and rescue effort. If I am ever lost and society expects me to pay for my rescue, I would at least like the option of turning the rescuers away. Shibanut has a great point that we already pay taxes and have therefore already paid for any rescues.

AKHusky- I too have been to small towns and cities all over this nation at all different times of the year and Fairbanks is by far the city with the most litter. It is embarrassing when my family and friends visit from the lower 48 and they see the mess we live in. What can we do to change the mindset of the people that litter? Can we enforce the laws? I like the way endotheroad handled the situation, but I am never lucky enough to catch someone in the act.

How many of you realize that if you are convicted of a misdemeanor DV 4, whether you plead no contest or not, you can no longer own a firearm for the REST OF YOUR LIFE? According to the story, 365 people per year in Fairbanks are denied the right to own a firearm forever! How many of you plead no contest and paid the $50.00 to avoid the whole burden of proving your innocence in court? If you did, you are no longer allowed to own a firearm. Don't get me wrong I will advocate against domestic violence, but when it comes to your 2nd amendment rights, I don't believe the punishment always fits the crime.
