I don't know about the State compensating Bristol Bay fisherman because they are catching more fish than they can sell. Who's fault is that really?

My flag has red and white stripes, and a field of blue with white stars. I think they look good together. How about you?

As a 3 year retired commercial/National Guard pilot flying both airplanes and helicopters here in Alaska, I have this to say to Roadtrip, not waiting for conditions to improve and/or cancelling a flight has resulted in the deaths of more than 20 of my friends and aquaintenances in the 35 years I've been up here. I can't count the number of passenger injuries or fatalities in Alaska over that same time. Flying into adverse weather without the proper skills or equipment (in other words making a bad decision) is the leading cause of aviation accidents in Alaska. Geez...I'm sorry, I'm trying not to comment from a soapbox anymore. I'll keep trying. Happy 4th of July.

A rotary wing air ambulance service could be provided here in the interior by a private company. The problem is we residents don't want to pay for it. It's that simple. Good luck MAST. Stay safe and come home soon.

Mowing the lawn at 1:30am? Not exactly a sober decision to begin with I think.

JP-Don't try to cannonize Waska Waska. He was a mean spirited, violent, drunk. By today's definition he was also a racist. I know 'cause I hauled him to jail and FMH on more than one occassion.

I don't believe there is a jury in this town that would convict someone for protecting themselves from an assault, theft, or vandalism. I know I wouldn't. Heck...I might throw in kicking some litterbugs butt too.

Hey James, years ago people like you who dislike everything about public service conned the community into "privatizing" the utilities. Guess what? Look at your electric/water/phone/sewer bill and tell us it cut the cost in half.

To those who commented above me...honestly, how can you be negative about an airshow for crying out loud? You must have vinegar and arsenic running through your veins.

Can anyone tell me how churches and other religious property ever became tax exempt? What prompted that? I notice that many church vehicles have special license plates. Are they exempt from registration fees? I'm not saying yea or nea, so don't beat me up to badly for bringing it up. I'm just curious.
