First, Good morning Fairbanks, we sure miss it there. We had an outstanding vaction this summer in Fairbanks. The folks up there where real helpful anytime we needed it.
Second, May God Bless all the soldiers and thier families in the 1st Stryker Bde, and bring them all home safely. These soldiers station at Ft. Wainwright our just outstanding, and I know they will do an outstanding job in Iraq. God Bless you all!
Last thing is that I think that Sen. McCain pick of GOV Palin for VP could not have been better. I listen to her a few times now, and she is just great. I was thinking of supporting Sen. Obama, but now I am on the fence.

I just want to say something about ANWR drilling. I would hope that we all look to the future, not to the past. There has to be someplace where we just say no to drilling. I would not like them drilling in Yellowstone or some other park. I have lived in Alaska before, and have just visited it again. Each time I go up to Alaska I fine it truely a great state and a vast frontier. Words can not describe how beautiful Alaska is. I just don,t believe we are that desperate where we got to go way up to one of the last truely frontier areas to drill for oil, and place another pipeline. I remember years ago the answer to our oil problem was the first pipe line. Here we are again, some twentyfive years or so later saying the same thing. I just wonder where we will be in another twentyfive years, where do we go look for oil then. After saying all this, I think the Alaska pipeline is a true marvel to see. I too do not wish to offend anyone, and respect other options on this subject. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Yesterday we went to Denali took a hiking trail in the park then went to the visitor center in the park. Next we went rafting on the Nenana River, and with the river high it was a great ride. We where lucky it didn't rain at all on us. Afterwards we went horseback riding right to the north of the park in the tundra, and boy did it rain on us once we where out there on the road. However, we had a great time in and around Denali my daughters and I loved every minute of it. Then it was over and we headed back up to Fairbanks, and I was tired out. Today it looks like rain, but thats ok we will be out and about in the 40s and 50s weather.Called home this morning, and its still in the 100s in Arkansas.Once again we like to say hi to all our friends in Booneville.

I agree with pattigil somewhat, I feel the same way. On one hand you got a person to old for the job however, on the other hand you have a person to young, and has not realy voted for anything. However, I think SEN. McCain is a true war hero, and a good person. In short we have one left and one right so,just take your pick and vote!!!!
