In reference to AKhusky's comment above; most of this research was going on at the same time oil was discovered in Prudhoe Bay. Also, a spectrograph was done on the particles and the source was clearly identified as being foreign to Alaska. I happen to know this because I'm Glenn Shaw's daughter.
