I am a law abiding citizen who also happens to have a conceiled carry permit although no longer needed in Alaska. If the parks want to restrict the carrying of handguns to those who have permits that is one thing but to restrict them to everyone is absurd. The reality is in Alaska personal protection usually isnt from two legged creatures but four.

I understand the problem but personally I feel it is an infraction on personal rights. The law certainly would not withstand the test of law anywhere else in Alaska (Fairbanks, Anchorage or Juneau). Fairbanks w/o alcohol, Anchorage w/o alcohol, not a chance!

I just dont understand it. Most other states that are oil producers on the West Coast, Texas, Oklahoma etc fuel prices are beneath the national average. Alaskans are being screwed once again!!!
On Rising fuel prices threaten to put local gas station owner out of business
