The native association has always been the only provider in Fairbanks for alcohol treatment for all races, it's about time the rest of the community kicked in.

Being homeless or poor is not a personality flaw, there are many honest, hardworking, "poor" people. Tragedies of many kinds could easily place any number of people in that position. There but for the grace of God go you and I.

A hungry spring bear anywhere near a community where children are walking to school in the morning must be addressed. For the safety of everyone living in the area action must be taken, otherwise it would not be safe to walk out your door! Bears on a mission do not scare easily, if they do scare off it is only a matter of time until they return for what they are after. Especially polar bears which are known to stalk humans, as do grizzly. People who do not live with that kind of threat should not pass judgment on those who do.

Thank you for the good coverage, many of us in the interior have been searching high and low for information on this State Championship, so many times only the big schools get reported on, there is a great deal of interest for the smaller leagues as well.

the trees in question were mangled so that they are of little use for fuel. Love inc. a local charity takes donations of firewood to be used in winter for those in need, if they must be cut donating the firewood is much better than deliberate destruction
