Why should the taxpayer suffer the consequence of irresponsible banks? If they want to take the risk of lending to people who obviously cannot pay their debts, that should be on the bank. There is too much emphasis on getting people to get in bed with the banks and credit card companies and spend spend spend, without understanding the seriousness of not being able to pay back. Paying the banks debt for them is not going to teach them a damn thing! Senate better not vote this one in otherwise it will go down as the biggest pork-barrel in history.

Very cool car. However, I wonder if its DOT approved in regards to being street legal. I dont see signal lights or anything, but then again its experimental right? I'd sure hope that by the time something like that becomes marketable that the price tag would drop at least 99% or so. As eco-friendly as it is supposed to be, it sure would be tough to take out a $1mil loan and pay interest.

At least you wouldn't need to pay for gas ever again...

Some people just don't want to work hard for their earnings. It's easier to steal than commit to another job.

Exxon should no longer be welcome in Alaska. Really, they should not be allowed to conduct any sort of business here ever again.

Would it be more morally justified if a woman were to be forced to follow through with a pregnancy unwillingly, ignoring her volitional right, than to have an abortion?
Under circumstances of medical necessity it seems hardly a good idea to put the decision to abort in the hands of the voting/taxpayer populace on the grounds of morals, rather than the expertise of a physician.
Pro-life supporters seem to arrogantly "know whats best" for mothers, but I'm curious, what do they derive their knowledge from? Personal experience? Research? Or is it just uninformed opinion?

Pro-choice, and worry about the plank in your own eye.

So do the feds destroy the seized pot or do they just throw in it an evidence room? Probably got a huge storage area packed to the ceiling with herb. Unless they're practicing a 'controlled burn.'

This soldier does not sound convinced that he's happy with what he's doing. The attitude demonstrated from his selection to be a handler to what it seems to be now appears no different. Or maybe he's just had too much sun.

Paying a little extra for more services is not nearly a big a deal as the customer service I receive. Last time my wife and I dined out, we definitely noticed the change in menu price from one of our favorite restaraunts, but we stayed regardless because of the outstanding service and food we receive each time we go. We've had a few mix ups here and there but they have ALWAYS made it up to us somehow, so we always come back! But it only takes one bad apple to ruin the experience. As we were leaving I was waiting by the door for my wife, I overheard our server complain aloud "that (*&^#$^ only left a $$ tip." I was astonished she had the audacity to say this when i was standing 5 feet away and other customers were sitting at a table not 10 feet away. I was embarrassed and infuriated. The situation was resolved through a manager and of course I retracted the whole tip, and the meal was credited to us. When I dine out I expect to pay a bit more, but I definitely expect decent service, which usually happens. Price is negotiable, but service is not.
