Please read

about Obama and economics. Let's try to become an informed public before we vote. Last time, we had a president who started a war in Iraq for oil and money (and the bush doctrine), and the people of American re-elected him. And now I'm going to be paying $4.40/gallon for heating oil:

Thanks so much, folks.

Kelly voted against the Energy Rebate and yet he won the primary. This says that District 7 takes the "Morons of Alaska" location prize.

What passes for a informed opinion on the 'comments' section does not bode well for democracy.

However, it smokes when you start it up.

The folks who want McCain must love the idea of paying $4.40/gallon or more for heating oil. Part of the current oil price is our devalued dollar. See this article from the Wall Street Journal:

I suggest folks begin reading Business Week. You can find in online at

McCain promises to continue the current administration's economic policies that created massive deficits which led to a devalued dollar which, of course, leads to inflation. Remember the 70's when we paid for Vietnam through inflation.
McCain has Carly Fiorina as an economic adviser. You may recall she was terminated...fired...from Hewlett-Packard for incompetence. She was the one who forced the acquistion of Compaq which confused HP's product line in both servers (and their OS's) and PC's. And McCain has HER as an economic adviser?!?!?

Mike Kelly voted AGAINST the energy rebate program. Those who vote for him vote to screw themselves.

I understand the Crips and the Bloods are franchise gangs that distribute drugs. The franchise spreads to various cities like McDonalds do. This is a result of the 38 year War on Drugs. Like Prohibition in the 20's, the War on Drugs creates organized crime. You didn't have franchise drug distribution by violent criminal gangs in the 1960's. And you'll live with it now.
Of note, prior to 1914, you could get opium and cocaine concoctions over the counter at drugstores and somehow the nation stood.

Inflation is my biggest concern. I will be voting for Obama as McCain promises to continue the failed economic polices that got us where we are today. That includes creating new deficits, then devaluing the dollar. Then Secretary of Treasury John Snow said that the devalued dollar was good for paying back the deficits. That is, it was Treasury policy.
