Actually, good point. They can't let Bartik get knocked around and they haven't yet. Getting stuffed on the 1 did hurt, though.

Well, going off AKHockeyFan's idea, I created a blog post to serve just as a place for Alaska fans to cast their vote -- Kevin Patrick or Dallas Ferguson.
Just scroll over the "Blogs" link atop the page and click on "Raeder of the Lost Blog."
Maybe our internet people can figure out how to get a poll set up at some point, but for now, that's the best forum I can offer you. I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks.

You're absolutely right, 3cj, nothing wrong with that at all.
In fact, I have friends who went to UW-Eau Claire and they sware by it, so I'm sure he'd have a great time there.
I just think that he could come in and make an impact for a D-I team, should he want to. From talking to him, it sounded like he wanted to keep all his options open in case a D-I school came a-calling.

It definitely was, runnersfan. It's one of those games where, as a hockey fan, I can't help but feel it was a shame someone had to lose.
They were two evenly matched teams and the winner had to be the odds-on favorite to face St. Louis in the championship game.
Good luck to the RoadRunners.

You know, hambone, I was thinking the exact same thing. That's why I'm interested to see how they do when they get back to Fairbanks.
Fourcade said yesterday that he thinks just playing in front of 4,000 cheering fans will make a big difference and he wants the opponents to "see what it's like to travel."

Griff is right. The article was talking about the Montreal Canadiens. Their team name is spelled with an "ie". That's why it was like that in the headline.
Here's their Web site if anyone wants to check for themselves: http://canadiens.nhl.com/index.html

No reason to limit them to NCAA assistants, that's definitely true. You always worry about recruiting, though, for someone who hasn't done it before.
That's probably the hurdle any non-NCAA person has to jump.
Patrick and Klippenstein would both be good hires. Last I heard from Patrick (Danny might have more in a story that will run in tomorrow's paper) he was interested in the job but hadn't sent anything in.

Hopefully the most interesting part hasn't happened yet, though the offensive lineman, Jay Fulk, just running for about 23 yards was kind of fun.
