Hey, I have a motorcycle that I ride to work every possible day in the summer. It's alot more efficient than the Diesel truck I have. (No bluesky, I was not whining, I was commenting). Not all of the "toys" need to be run, but in this case, it certainly helps. Sorry if my enjoying riding is offensive to you in the meantime. Wait, no I'm not.

Wow bluesky! I am assuming from the tone that you are not from Fairbanks...what a shame. I don't think anyone is whining (wait, no, I know some people are whining, but most are not). Most are legitimately concerned about what seems to be an endless escalation of fuel prices. Our cost of living is far lower? Lower than the villages and Juneau certainly, but Anchorage? Really?
Well stated argument though, I see you found the caps lock key...good for you.

If we are going to gripe about the pedestrians, can I please bring up the folks that are running across Airport road in front of the theater? Why did the city take down the fencing that ran along the side of Airport road? Ever since then, I see kids and drunks and drunk kids climbing over the cement barriers and playing frogger with their lives and my car.

I have never heard a bar described as "useful" before. That just cracked me up. And I LIKE bars...:-)

Casey, your comments are adorable. "just morons waving flags when we should be shaking hands"...that type of naevete is truly charming. "We have not been in a war since WWII" and you go on to reference Vietnam later in your comment. Interesting. Unfortunately, here in the real world, it does not work that way. You do not agree with me, and I do not agree with you. No matter what I say in defense of my opinion, I imagine you will simply continue the inflamatory and insulting remarks as well as the overuse of exclamation points and caps lock. You have a point to make...we get it. We see where you are coming from, some even agree with you. I honestly have no problem with that. But you do need to keep in mind that the way you are going about stating your opinion is in direct contrast to the message you are sending. "We should be shaking hands" is being shoved down our throats. I appreciate your passion, I will forever defend your right to offend me.
As always, a heart felt thank you to our troops. What you do, and what you fight for is very dear to me, and to Casey...wheter he or she chooses to admit it or not.

What Crimestoppers fails to realize is that their hesitance to follow through on the reward due to a technicality will make others in the future re-think if it is worth their while to even call in.

SoaringEagle, I do it anonymously because it is important for all of you to know that just because someone is not on the table grandstanding doesn't mean that you are alone. There are alot of us out here that have your back and we prefer to do it anonymously. When push comes to shove, I get less anonymous... I know it means alot, and I am glad, that's why I do it. Maybe one day one of the pilots will catch me and "make" me go for a ride in one of the 16's...can I get a sonic boom out of the deal? :-)

You know, the signs probably have adresses on them, perhaps you could drop them off at the persons house. No no no...I am not saying that the person who put the sign up should not be responsible for it, I know they should. What I am saying is that if they are dumb enough to leave a sign up long after it should be, and then to leave their address on it as well? That's just begging for someone to leave it at their house for them. On a related note, this is also how I determine who I will or will not vote for alot of times. If I see a political sign that is up long after the elections are over (not the ones on peoples houses and in their yards, the ones on public property) guess who will not be getting my vote if they run in the next race. It is a clear indication of someone who is not able to follow through a job to the END.

"Jive" is a racially loaded statement?!? Really? Which race is it that uses or used the word "jive" to the exclusion of all other races...this should be interesting.
When i hear the word "jive" all I hear is "bow chika bow wow" guitars in the background...is that racist also?
