Way to go Blue and Gold. Keep it rolling.
Kudos to the News Miner for the recognition.
I was being to think it was going to take a ticker tape parade up Cushman Street with the Mason Cup in hand knocking at the doors of the News Miner to get some press this season.
But I am sure a few of us fans will provide the bubbly to see a few sports writers take a sip from the Mason Cup.

The State will prevail against big oil. The letter really won't matter in the end.
I find it ironic that Chamber wrote a letter about the gas line but hasn't taken any kind of position on short term energy concerns and the impending and current crisis it has had on the local economy.

I agree with the posts as well.
If we had a food shortage in the state we would send the most supplies to areas hit the hardest! We wouldn't send sacks of rice to Anchorage when they have new york steaks available.
I appreciate the fairness but its time to recognize that rural and interior Alaska have been and will be rapidly changing with the current crisis.
$1200 dollars in a rural area is barely a drop in the proverbial energy ocean, $1200 in Anchorage is going to be a shopping spree for the half million people in Anchorage plus the Valley etc. One is barely enough for survial the other will be one heck of an economic stimulus package.

My question is do the 750 members of chamber support the decision of 9 board members?
Also I have not heard of any other chamber organizations across the state taking similar positions.

I think Bill Robertsons Letter to the editor had merit in asking whom the Chamber Board is representing? Does this vote and letter represent the Chamber Membership?

I would like to see a FDN story on this topic. Especially if no other Chamber Organizations in the State have taken a position?
This sounds corrupt. I would like to know who all voted and whom they represent if they represent all of the chamber members.

Lets just ban alcohol in the entire city why stop at the Carlson Center. There are people doing stupid things and problems in the streets of Fairbanks too! I heard he actually threw a soda or an energy drink. Maybe he was strung out on sugar (lets ban soda!)Maybe we can get the CSI team to swab the players helmet for barley and hops.
I'm not sure how many lifeguards are needed on the proverbial gene pool on this topic but maybe the fan and the player need to accept some responsiblity for their own actions! Why does society accept full responsibility for people who exercise poor judgement?

Very weak editorial. Apparently nothing going on in Juneau with our billions of dollars of surplus or sports arenas for Anchorage when our university on the hill has been asking for bios funding for years is an up or a down?

Nicely said footballman, you got it right on. I would really like to see them end the season with two great games against the Wild. Things could have gone better this year but it would be great to see them end the year on a good note and have a better second year.
Maybe Dittman will put something on the line against our Anchorage rivals to heat up the action a bit.
On Grizzlies’ new faces have same old effect against Corpus Christi

Wow, AK 49. You must really be a Nebraska Omaha fan hoping
the blue and gold machine will give the Mavericks a glimpse of daylight.
Back in Brodeur's prime do you think the devils would have given him some more nights off during a NHL season which is four times as long as a college season. No way. You let the horse run until he's tired or gives you a reason.
Grenham looked sharp for a young guy and he'll get his chance. What a great opportunity for a freshman to see a Senior like Johnson blossom at the right time.
