It’s a wonder we don’t have more auto accidents than we do. Monday was a day of poor visibility — blowing snow, overcast and low light. Yet at least 50 percent of the vehicles I saw did not have their headlights on. Therefore, they had no tail lights. Tail lights and back windows were plugged with snow.
Many were driving at speeds that would be too fast even for dry pavement. Many were talking on their cellphones while driving that fast. One lady in a light colored car without lights was texting. You know the action — looking down with quick looks up before looking down again.
It’s a wonder we don’t have more auto accidents.
