University of Alaska Museum of the North needs docents

FAIRBANKS - The University of Alaska Museum of the North is looking for volunteer docents for its school tour programs this semester. Volunteers will be trained in using the museum’s exhibits and hands-on collection to teach students about science, culture and art. No experience is necessary. Docents commit to leading elementary school tours through the semester. Course credit is available through UAF.

To register for the training that takes place Sept. 4-14, call 474-5360 or email the museum at museum.education@uaf.edu.
