To the editor:

The Dems and unions desperately want to keep Joe Paskvan and Joe Thomas in the Senate. Their targets are John Coghill and Pete Kelly.

Some of the points columnist Paul Jenkins from the Anchorage Daily News writes: “Putting Alaskans First Committee (a union front) is dedicated to saving the Senate Bipartisan Working Group at the expense of Alaska’s future. It has raised $284,000 from unions, such as Alaska AFl-CIO, IBEW PAC, ASEA/AFSCME Local 52, NEA-Alaska PACE and B.J. Gottstein.”

The Senate Bipartisan Working Group, controlled by the Democrats, has accomplished little except to block solutions offered by the House in an effort to punish those “mean” oil companies from getting too much money when oil production continues to decline each year reducing the revenues to the state.

It’s time to get experienced Pete Kelly and John Coghill back to the Senate to get Alaska moving again with more productivity and new jobs for Alaska. They have ideas to incentivize more productivity and development to provide responsibly for our children and future generations. In the end, it is not your money that makes a difference, but your vote.
