UAF registering students for WINTERmester classes

FAIRBANKS — If you need to cram in an extra class to graduate or just want stay on top of what’s going on in the world, the University of Alaska Fairbanks WINTERmester program might be the right fit for you.

WINTERmester offers academic and nonacademic classes between Jan 2 and 15 and a chance to earn three credits in just two weeks. For a full schedule of classes and registration information, check out the website at www.uaf.edu/wintermester/.

Beginning portrait painting, advanced portrait painting and graduate portrait painting taught by Todd Sherman.

Topics in management communication taught by Peter DeCaro.

Cinematography taught by Dave Selle.

Introduction to French and European cinema taught by Yelena Matusevich.

Investigative reporting taught by Willy Stern.

Langstitch/kettenstitch, a traditional binding for an embellished journal taught by Margo Klass.

Bicycle maintenance and repair taught by Simon Rakower.

eBook publishing workshop taught by David Marusek.

Theater lighting workshop taught by Kade Mendelowitz.
