UAF class seeking software projects

University of Alaska Fairbanks computer science students are accepting proposals for software design projects.

The project allow students to gain real-world experience while business, government and public service organizations benefit from free software. The projects often require more than

650 hours of development per team of three to five students. During the past 20 years, students have developed more than 65 successful projects, according to a UAF press release.

Past recipients of student software work include Love INC, Fairbanks Taxi and the Fairbanks North Star Borough.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Jan. 14. They may be sent to uaf-cs-dept@alaska.edu, or by regular mail to Department of Computer Science, University of Alaska Fairbanks, PO Box 756670, Fairbanks AK 99775-6670.
