ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska State Troopers say a 20-year-old Palmer man has been cited for dumping garbage in the Knik River Public Use Area.

Wildlife Troopers say Raymond Keown III last week dumped about 500 pounds of refuse in the public use area off Maud Road.

He was issued the $110 citation in a Palmer court and ordered to pick up the trash.

Troopers say Keown has removed the garbage.
