JUNEAU, Alaska - Two people in Juneau took an unexpected Christmas Day swim at the lake created by the Mendenhall Glacier.

KINY-radio (http://bit.ly/WBe2Xg) reports a Capital City Rescue took a call at about 1 p.m. Tuesday that two people had fallen through ice at the face of the glacier.

Rescue personnel rushed to the parking lot of the Mendenhall Glacier Visitors Center parking lot and learned the soaked pair had been pulled from the lake.

They made sure the two did not need medical assistance. They were warmed up but did not need treatment at a hospital.

Names of the people were not disclosed.
