Description: Come join us for camp this year. We have a great theme, "Buccaneers of the North." Youth will rotate through classes learning about canoeing, trajectory, Legos, obstacle courses. There will be swimming, crafts, games, skits, hiking and campfires. It promises to be educational and fun — we look forward to seeing you there.

Cost: 4-H non-member is $105 and 4-H member is $95. Registration will be available May 1

H2O: Headwaters to Ocean Overnight Camps

Sponsoring organization: Prince William Sound Science Center

Ages: Grades 6-8

Dates and times: June 10-14 & August 5-9

Location: Cordova

Description: H2O Overnight Camp is a great time to be active and have fun in the outdoors while learning about the amazing landscape that surrounds Cordova. Each day is filled with hands-on science activities, games, and adventures. During the week at camp we’ll hike in the rainforest, observe glaciers up close, explore the wetlands of the Copper River Delta, and more.

Cost: $500 *Scholarships available

Howie Van Ness Memorial Kid's Fly Fishing Camp

Sponsoring organization: Midnight Sun Fly Casters

Ages: 10 to 16

Date and time: July 12-14

Location: Lost Lake Boy Scout Camp, 58.5 mile Richardson Highway

Description: MSFC Kid's Camp is a fun, active three-day event that teaches kids ages 10 thru 16 (and their parent or guardian) all about fly-fishing. Our all-volunteer staff teaches classes in fly tying, casting, knot tying, conservation, and entomology. Cabins are available for two nights, and good healthy meals are provided. Every camper goes home with the knowledge and camp freebies or the tools to continue this engaging and rewarding interest.

Cost: $150 includes; classes, meals, lodging, graduation gifts. (for student and accompanying guardian)
