Fairbanks Bluegrass Camp for Kids

Description: 13th Annual Bluegrass Camp features Americana music taught by great instructors in fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bass, vocals, songwriting and more. Students get first-hand experience in bluegrass, old-time, and country music, at beginning to advanced levels. Howling Bear Studios Fine Arts Camp

Description: Join Fairbanks artists Claudia Lively and Greg Gustafson in a week of creative fun. Each student will make art projects using clay, beads, fabric, glass and materials found in the woods. These sculpture, jewelry, glass fusing, and hand building projects will be displayed in an art show and party for students' families at the end of camp Friday.

North Star Ballet Creative Dance Camp - Circus Under the Big Top

Description: Creative movement, ballet, costume design, music appreciation, arts and crafts, story and activities all relating to a circus theme.

THE DRAMA PROJECT!
Sponsoring organization: Fairbanks Drama Association & Children's Theatre
Ages: 5-18 years
Dates and times: Registration begins May 1. Session 1 for 5 - 14 year olds: June 13 - 24; Session 2 for 5 - 14 year olds: June 27 - July 8; Session 3 for 13 - 18 year olds: July 11 - 31.
Location: The Hap Ryder Riverfront Theatre, 1852 2nd Ave.
Description: The Drama Project! is a fun, intensive theatre training program for youth. The faculty are professional theatre educators, and the training features voice, physicality, listening, rhythm and ensemble teamwork.
Cost: Sessions 1 and 2: $150/child. Session 3: $ 325/child. Session 3 is the Teen-aged Ensemble Theatre Class for students 13-18 years, and is a complete theatre production immersion class; 1-6 p.m., M-F. Heath Robertson, will direct the classic play “Kidnapped in London” which the students will perform for the public on July 29, 30 and 31.

Youth Summer FiberArts Program

Ages: 6 to 15
When: Weekly sessions 9 a.m. to 12 and 1-4 p.m. for the following dates. May 23-27; May 31-June 3; June 6-10; June 13-17; June 20-24; June 27 to July 1; Aug. 1-5; Aug. 8-12
What: Weekly 3-hour sessions in the morning and afternoon that explore art-related projects that stimulate creative ideas, develop skills and techniques in drawing, watercolor, painting, basketry, a variety of beading techniques, loom weaving, paper-making, machine sewing, quilting and woodcarving.
Cost: $90 per session, two sessions per day; noon-hour supervision, $10 extra

S.W.I.M. Sensational Worship In Motion - creative arts camp for kids!

Dates and times: July 11-16, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Location: 547 Seventh Ave.
Description: Through the arts, children will explore the talents and gifts that God has given to each of them. They will have a choice of two tracks, either Dance, Drama, Vocals, Set Design, Media or Puppets. At weeks end, all workshops will come together and present a program highlighting each workshop.
