Rebecca George was raised in Louisiana and Palm Beach, Florida but crossed the Mississippi in 1996, leaving behind her southern accent, and headed to Seattle where she hoped to find real cowboys and covered wagons.
Instead she found Starbucks Coffee and men who wear socks with their sandals but she stayed anyway.
She studied journalism, philosophy and genetics for her undergraduate work in Washington and at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
In her spare time she enjoys classic and foreign film, wandering in art museums, swimming, and standing on her soapbox with the love of her life.
