Features editor Jeff Richardson was raised in Delta Junction, where he grew to appreciate snow drifts and wide-open spaces. After graduating from Delta High School, he attended the University of Northern Colorado, earning a degree in journalism in 1992. After working as the News-Miner education reporter in the late 1990s, Jeff took a six-year break to manage a weekly newspaper in Dutch Harbor before returning to Fairbanks in 2005.
