How do your programs and services affect the lives of your clients?

The Salvation Army programs help day-to-day life be more manageable for our clients. From food for the hungry, clothing for the needy to inexpensive afterschool care for those working families that have too much month at the end of their money. The Salvation Army is there to help however we can.

How has United Way of the Tanana Valley helped your agency fulfill its mission?

The allocations that we received from United Way this year were applied to help fund our low cost after-school program called “Youth Quake.”

For what are you most proud of the Salvation Army?

The Salvation Army nationwide has the motto “Doing the Most Good.” Thanks to the generosity of the Fairbanks community, we have been able to impact many families form the youngest to the oldest. It is through this help that we have truly begun to do the most good in the Fairbanks community.
