The West Valley High School cross country team ended the Kodiak Invitational on Saturday by sweeping titles in its relay at the Kodiak Fairgrounds.

The West Valley boys team compiled 25 points and the Wolfpack girls team had 16.

The Dimond Lynx, of Anchorage, were second  each in the boys standings with 32 points and 57 in the girls standings. The host Kodiak Bears were third each, with 85 points for their boys team and 63 for their girls team.

The results of the relays, which were listed on athletic.net, were individual times rather than times of combined relay squads.

West Valley’s Kendall Kramer and Dimond’s Dallin Gardiner each had the respective top individual times. Kramer led the girls with a 5-minute, 51-second split for her 1.07-mile leg and Gardiner completed his 1.07-mile leg in 5:30.

Kramer and Gardiner also won in Friday’s individual 5K races.

West Valley’s girls had seven of the top-10 individual times.

Maggie Druckenmiller was second in 6:28, Riga Grubis third in 6:34, Emma Axelsson fourth in 6:51 and Kate Baring raced to sixth place in 7:06. Hadley Blasey and Catherine Winford were eighth and ninth, respectively, in 7:11 and 7:14.

The Wolfpack’s Ava Jelinek placd 22nd in 7:49 and teammate Kristen Abramowicz was 24th in 7:58.

Kodiak’s Elizabeth Parnell placed fifth in 7:03. Dimond got two top-10 individual splits — Kaley Fleming seventh in 7:10 and Brenna Flannery 10th in 7:14.

On the boys side, West Valley teammates Jack Cater and Nolan Earnest were second and third, respectively, in 5:31 and 5:36.

Four more Wolfpack filled the top 10. Daniel Abramowicz took fifth (5:41), Eric DiFolco seventh (5:45), Caleb Peterson eighth (5:47) and Koen House ninth (5:49).

Eli Merrill was 13th in 5:52 and Lars Vinlove came in 22nd in 6:05. Dale Baurick placed 24th (6:10), Eli Engman 35th (6:30) and Xavier Mikol 36th (6:31).

Logan Barr took 43rd place (6:45), Jacob Rozell 48th (6:56) and Nathan Stout finished 52nd in 7:03.

The boys relay featured 58 participants and there were 36 in the girls event.

Tristen Kiler placed 15th in 5:59 to lead the Kodiak boys Saturday.
