FAIRBANKS Stacy Miles led a pack of 11 competitors to win the Heart of Darkness Snowshoe Race on Saturday afternoon. 

She finished in 38 minutes, 56 seconds, completing the 6-kilometer trail ahead of Laura Lindell, who took second in 39:31.

The race featured a hilly course off Moose Trail. 

Kelsi Johnson (39:38) finished third, Cathi Batchelder (41:33) took fourth and Wells Wappett (42:48) rounded out the top five.

Karla Secor (43:02), Clint Ragan (43:50) and Tamara Hall (46:53) came in sixth, seventh and eighth, respecitvely, while Anna Cannon (49:53) took ninth and Amy Marsh (55:41) was 10th.

Bob Perkins (66:06) finished 11th.

Randy Pitney was the kicksled division winner, finishing in 72:21.
