FAIRBANKS — Fairbanks Ice Dogs head coach Trevor Stewart doesn’t hesitate to be honest with the players on Tier II Junior A hockey team.

“Everything he says is with substance,” Ice Dogs general manager Rob Proffitt said by cellphone Tuesday. “He’s a players’ coach and he’s very honest. He’s not going to cherry-coat anything, he’s going to be very factual.
